Kimchi buta (キムチ豚)

We got a huge jar of kimchi at home and since we got pork left over from yesterday. It's perfect time for kimchi buta! Kimchi is the Korean spicy pickled cabbage and buta means pork. This dish is a popular Japanese dish that you can get at any izakaya because it is salty and spicy and goes really well with a tall glass of cold beer.

Ingredients
6oz of pork slices, cut into strips (like bacon)

1 cup kimchi, or more if preferred

1 tsp of sugar

1 tsp of sesame oil

salt to taste

1) Cook pork over high heat in single layer. Then dish up when the pork is done.
2) Then add kimchi to the pan, and let it sizzle for a few minutes. At this point, add sugar and sesame oil.
3) After a few more minutes add the pork back into the pan and mix.
4) That's it. Dish up and serve with a tall glass of cold beer and/or a bowl of rice. We made a big salad to go with it for dinner. It was just perfect to cool down the spaciness.
